The Newness (September 8, 2001)

Once again, this site is going to go through an evolution. Not everything is going to be different, but some of the more drab areas will be spiffed up. All the old sections will have logos and ScrollBoss itself has a new logo. Yes, I said "HAS". It's done already. All reviews will have screenshots, except for maybe Spider Man and the X-Men. All reviews will have logos, except for, once again, Spider Man and the X-Men. Look for new Saga entries like Shinobi and the Rushing Beat series along with new Saga features like an advanced story features that I'm not going to describe just in case I can't pull it off or get lazy or swamped with work. There's also going to be a new Comic Book game feature that I'm doing mainly for my friends at All American Comics (maybe I can get some multiperson reviews up in this). The "Custom SNK vs Capcom Card Clash" section will be up, that'll even include some of the real life people I made cards for (so far, all 3 are cute and female). The art section will return (there's a link to some new art below!). There will be other goodies that I've talked about that you'll finally be able to see and some that I never even hint at.

In other news, I SHOULD be getting my CD burner this weekend, but for me, nothing ever goes as it should. If I do, it'll make all that stuff I spoke of above a whole lot easier. Even more exciting is the fact that I've started working on my first paying professional art gig! I'll hip you to what's going on soon in a later Newness.

Not much this time, sparky. Check out the Newness box at the bottom to peep it, though!

SNK v.s. Capcom 2 Alert!!! (it's gonna stay here)

The webmaster at that cool, cool site, Street Fighter Legends, has started an online petition to make sure that SNK vs Capcom for the Dreamcast makes it to the United States and Europe. See, so far, we may not get to play the 2-D goodness for ourselves. That ain't right! Sign the petition, don't use a fake name/address, and be a patriot! It doesn't take that long at all and remember, if this succeeds, it'll be a victory for 2-D games in general. FIGHT THE POWER!!! Remember:" If something is yours by right, then fight for it or shut up." (I can't remember who said that originally) Just click the banner below and read for the petition on the front screen.

Basically whatever you read up at the top.

I hope my transparent Powermaster Optimus Prime (or God Gin and Juice Rye or whatever it's called) is safe at my favorite hang out spot. Hopefully it, and my Green Arrow comic, turn up safe and haven't suffered that same fate as my bag of Snack Mix (i.e. going down the gullet of some spineless, greedy @#$licker who has yet to fess the @#$% up)... they're showing Gymkata on TNT right now ('bout 3:50 AM EST), but why? Anyway... my favorite moments from the MTV Music Awards: 4.) Alicia Keys playin' LIVE, NOT MEMOREX 3.) Outkast gettin' an award 2.) Christopher Walken with his scat freestyle 1.) Tenacious D!!! That's all you newbies got for free, but old heads know what's up... Why do I always catch Extended Play at the frickin' end? Dope! Their showing classic stuff, including the intro for Ninja Gaiden!!! I await the update with a skeptical mind, but a saliva filled mouth. Eeewwww... For all my fellow Hip Hop junkies, "it's not all in your head,", Del the Funky Homosapien does Russell's rap from the Gorillaz's "Clint Eastwood" joint. Dat's all folks...

Finally finished the artwork for Ax Battler. The full clip is "Sans Mullet", so chill.
This is for my art site, but I wanted you to see it. It's Beast from the X-Men, who also appeared in quite a few X-Men games (including X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse) and was cool as heck in the 90's X-Men cartoon. As far as I know, he's not in the "dude-totally-extreme" X-Men Evolution cartoon starring "Picco-rine."
Check out the art sent in by the mysterious Stephani Rolento, a young artist who sent some art of, who else, Final Fight boss Rolento!!!
Bomberman fans know this as a provider of more exploding goodness. Here, it will soon be in the main menu as an alert to new or updated items.
Ignore all dangers and head to the open door. Radd Spencer's Card. The first of what will be... what, a dozen? Half a dozen? We'll see...
